Looking for unconventional vessels for the Ostravice River Festival

On Saturday, 23rd June, both banks of the Ostravice river will host the fourth year of annual festivities. They will include contests of non-traditional vessels, boat rentals, river ferries, games and competitions for children and adults, concerts, theatrical performances and lots of good food and drink. Anyone with a bit of imagination who builds their own vessel can enter the non-traditional vessel competition.
Let your creativity run free! The best vessel and its crew will win CZK 15,000. In addition, this year, for the first time, an extraordinary financial bonus is prepared for the first ten vessels to sign up and participate in the competition.
PRIZES – 1st place: CZK 15,000; 2nd place: CZK 10,000; 3rd place: CZK 5,000 (the first three vessels will be selected by the jury). The jurors will evaluate the vessel’s ability to sail and manoeuvre on the Ostravice River from the confluence with Lučina to the Miloš Sýkora Bridge, the original look of the vessel and the original look of the crew.
In addition, two other randomly selected vessels will receive CZK 3,000 and CZK 2,000.
