Playground for children and dogs already in service, other proposals to be submitted by the end of June

In late May and early June, two playgrounds were opened in the Ostrava-South district. One is situated within the Provaznická 64 Primary School premises and is designed for children. The other one is designed for dogs and can be found in the Agility Park on Jaromír Matušek Street in Dubina. Both projects were created as part of the participatory budget. Other proposals for improving the South can be submitted by June 30th.

“It is great to see how people’s ideas become reality. Also, the renovation of the Chapel of St. Jan in Pískové doly in Zábřeh should finish in less than a month. I am very curious what proposals will be presented and how the CZK 7 million will be spent”, said Deputy Mayor Hana Tichánková, the person behind the idea of participative budget for Ostrava-South.

People can submit their proposals for this year’s participative budget by the end of June. The ideas can be consulted with Kateřina Šebestová, the project coordinator, at katerina.sebestova@ovajih.cz or tel: 720 952 981.
