The new OZO Ostrava web site is more user-friendly!

The new website of OZO Ostrava is clearer and contains more information relevant to citizens. It is now also optimized for mobile phones and tablets.

“The homepage contains a well-visible breakdown into three sections focusing on citizens, businesses and education. These are the three most important areas we want to focus on. Of course, there is also basic information about the company, news and job opportunities”, says OZO Ostrava’s Vladimíra Karasová about the new website, noting its emphasis on education and on how to manage waste.“ The homepage now includes information that is most often searched on the OZO Ostrava website. That is why there are, for example, waste recycling centres and everything about them”, she adds and draws attention to the section For Citizens, which is divided into Ostrava and other municipalities with which OZO cooperates. This is because each municipality has specific waste management conditions.“

The people living in our waste collection area will be able to find different types of waste together with the necessary information on how to manage it. Sorted Waste section contains a link to the City of Ostrava’s website, where the citizens can use a separated waste map to find the nearest container. In the OZO website’s Greenery section, it is easy to find the date of collection at the place of their residence; all they have to do is select the City district and the street.

The website will also soon allow the search for large-volume containers”, says Vladimíra Karasová, noting that new features are always being added. “That’s why we welcome constructive comments from users. They can be sent as queries directly from the form at the bottom of each page”, she invites users to collaborate on improving the site, which is much more than before focused on social responsibility. The related topics can be found in the About section and include, for example, the thematic calls that OZO Ostrava started announcing last year. “Citizens will certainly appreciate the News section with the hottest news about waste collection during holidays, etc. Job-seekers should look at the Career section, which informs not only about the benefits provided to existing employees, but also about selection procedures for new ones. It is worthwhile to look at it occasionally”, she concludes.
