The World Water Day in Ostrava

Ostrava City Council this week, on the occasion of the World Water Day, has decided to involve the city in the “Find the Source 2019” competition again.

“Find the Source”, a fun and educational water-themed project for children run by Ostrava’s water management company OVAK and supported by the City. The aim of the project is to raise awareness of water and its importance for human life and the environment. This annual project is taking place for the 18th time this year, and it is aimed at children from the city’s primary schools.

The city will provide a financial donation for schools whose teams will be ranked 1st – 3rd. The winner of the competition will receive 15,000 CZK, the schools whose teams will be placed on the 2nd and 3rd place then 10,000 CZK. The final will take place on May 31 at the Silesian Ostrava Castle.
