Ostrava Transport Company spends CZK 4.7 billion on vehicle fleet renewal
At this year’s Czech Raildays in Ostrava, the Ostrava Transport Company (DPO) introduced new public transport vehicles, which it will purchase as part of a continuous fleet renewal process. According to its plan, the DPO will be purchasing the new vehicles worth CZK 4.7 billion until 2022.
At the Czech Raildays, the most visited vehicle at the DPO stand was the Stadler nOVA tram. In addition, the transport company introduced a new battery-powered trolleybus, an electric minibus and Ekova Electron electric bus.
The average age of the DPO vehicle fleet is approximately 15 years (23 years for trams).
