Competition to test traffic knowledge
As in previous years, this year too the City of Ostrava is running a special competition where you can show off your traffic-related knowledge to win some great prizes. The competition will remain open throughout April, which is National Road Safety Month – and anybody over age 10 from Ostrava or its outlying communities can enter. Just answer 15 questions and send your answers to the competition e-mail address.
The theme of this year’s competition is how road users should deal with situations caused by road closures (for road repairs etc.). The questions test entrants’ knowledge of general traffic rules as well as their awareness of current and planned road closures and repairs in Ostrava. You can find the questions on the City of Ostrava website (http://www.ostrava.cz/cs/urad/magistrat/odbory-magistratu/odbor-dopravy/oddeleni-silnic-mostu-rozvoje-a-organizace-dopravy/dopravne-znalostni-soutez-2018 – in Czech). A link to the questions, plus the complete competition rules, can also be found on Facebook, at https://www.facebook.com/Aktiv.BESIP.Ostrava/.
Entrants who meet the competition requirements and answer all 15 questions correctly will go through to the prize draw stage. The head of the City’s Transport Department will draw out five lucky winners who will receive the prizes. The first prize is a laptop computer, and the second and third prizes are a sports camera and a smart wristwatch.
