Specially Protected Areas
This is a relatively well-conserved floodplain of the unregulated Lučina River, with remnants of oxbow lakes and fragments of wetland forests offering a refuge for endangered animal species. The woodlands flanking the river, the fragments of alluvial meadows and the river itself (between Bartovice and Slezská Ostrava) are classified as a wetland area of regional importance under the Ramsar Convention.
