Renovation of tram line to reduce noise in Poruba

Noise
The renovation of the tram line in Ostrava–Poruba on 17. listopadu Street will reduce vibrational noise and, therefore, noise burden for residents of nearby buildings by using an anti-vibration polyurethane mat.
For the first time in Ostrava, a high quality mat will be used. The rails should also be supported on rubber pads with a total thickness of 12 millimetres. These will be made of high-quality vulcanized rubber, rather than recycled material.
Optimal synergies will also be achieved thanks to new trams that will be commissioned very soon, which we have already informed you about.
